The figuring of Anegre is very pronounced and beautiful.  Anegre is used for high quality purposes. It is a special wood for printing and dyeing. Surface treatment is possible by all the usual methods but white patches can appear on the surface as a result of calcium deposits. There is no great difficulty in drying cut lumber. The wood should be dried as soon as possible after cutting to prevent blue stain.

It is one of the most beautiful known furniture wood species. Because of its texture and pores Cherry is excellently suited for polishing.

Figured Sycamore veneers are mostly produced for the American and Asian markets. Figured Sycamore is excellently suited for polishing and staining. The wood fibres are wavy which gives this species of wood its typical pattern. Varnishes resistant to UV rays are recommended to prevent premature yellowing. The wood has a great tendency to check and warp. Color changes can occur if dried improperly.

Hard Maple is one of the most used furniture woods in USA.  It can be easily stained and can be surface-treated with any finish with no difficulty. Glue joints hold well and pre-drilled joints preferred over nail joints. Apart from its use as wood also significant as the source of maple syrup.        Special forms of Hard Maple are the Curly Maple, Quilted Maple, Fiddleback Maple and the Birdseye Maple.

Bastern area of North America, from Newfoundland to the Gulf of Mexico. Exploited commercially mainly in the north of the USA. Apart from its use as wood also significant as the source of maple Special forms of Hard Maple are the Curly Maple, Quilted Maple, Piddleback Maple and the Birdseye Maple.

Iroko is native to the tropical, semi-deciduous rain forests and tropical, humid, rain-green forests. The consistently yellowish brown wood is not very decorative, however, has good dimensions and widths. Very resistant to pest-infestation, however, as opposed to real teak, not entirely.

Knotty pine refers to pine wood boards that have a large number of visible knots. This type of wood was very popular in kitchen decors throughout the 1950s because of the rustic appeal that it could achieve. Often, kitchen cabinetry has a honey finish that varied in a range between orange and red colors.

West Africa, from Lyberia through to the Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria and Cameroon. Sliced veneer used for door skins and inner surface veneers; rotary veneer used for plywood panels. Used in the furniture industry more as a backing veneer. The wood is yellowish-white to cream in color and becomes more yellowish-grey when steamed. Koto is very good for printing and staining. Logs must be freshly felled and chemically impregnated.

Red Oak is used for facing in the furniture and door industries and as construction wood. Unlike in White Oak, Red Oak wood is not suitable for staves due to its open pores. Only very good logs are used for slicing, others are peeled. The color is light reddish to dark red. Compared with White Oak it is considerably larger in diameter and cleaner. Surface treatments present no problems.

The color is light reddish to dark red. Compared with White Oak it is considerably larger in diameter and cleaner. Knife stain can very easily occur when slicing since the wood contains more tannic acid than found in White Oak and the water flow is facilitated by the open pores. Red Oak can be quickly and cleanly worked with all the usual tools.

Sapele is used as sliced veneer for faces, furniture, paneling, parquet flooring, doors, pianos and construction lumber. Only irregular fiber grains make it difficult to produce smooth surfaces. The wood takes well to stains, varnishes and polishes. No difficulty to produce joints with glue, screws and nails, all of which are durable.

Smoked oak veneer is also known as fumed oak veneer. The smoking process turns the natural oak veneer color to caramel color, brown color, or dark color. We choose good quality American oak veneer and European oak veneer to make the smoked veneer. The standard thickness is 0.25mm and 0.45mm that we keep in stocks

Sycamore is to be found all over Europe but very seldom as Figured Sycamore. The wood is almost white.
